Pros

They pay you during licensing which is basically just studying for several months Decent benefits for an entry level role

Cons

You are micromanaged down to the minute. Very much a call center vibe and everything you do is tracked. You are expected to take back to back calls all day with little reprieve. Half the time you are being yelled at by frustrated clients. Sign-on bonus will be clawed back if you leave within a year because so many people try to jump ship once they actually start in the role.

Pros

People are nice and helpful

Cons

Found out after I was hired and had worked there for 8 months, that as a remote employee, I am not entitled to apply for other positions within Vanguard. You have to apply like any other outside individual. Also, I was in training with others who were not remote and found out that while they would get raises when trained in various other departments or (journey's) remote employees do not. Also, when I was hired I was hired as a client services representative, not as a trader. Most companies traders make more money due to the increased liability to them, but not with Vanguard. It was extremely disapointing. I was extremely uncomfortable placing trades but was basically told that I didn't have a choice. Wish I had known all of this during my interviews. Instead it was an "oh well, deal with it" attitude.
