Pros

Pay was decent, transparency was decent and WFH

Cons

The project I was assigned to was going good until I had a conversation with upper tier management, (It seems like lower management was offended then retaliation was taken out on me ) then suddenly with out warning I was removed from the team roster, then suddenly removed from the project with out explanation from upper management after numerous contact attempts. Their internal system Ultimatix makes it really hard for one to apply for jobs as its blocks you saying you don't have the competencies for the role which I do or the site is always down. The RMG team is a joke they don't want to work or place you in a role specific to your geographic location. I qualified for other IT roles at TCS but RMG did not assign me to other projects.

Pros

TCS provides excellent exposure to large-scale enterprise applications and real-world client environments. I had the opportunity to work on both web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android), build automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies. The company encourages learning and certifications, and I was able to grow into leadership roles, mentor offshore teams, and work on Agile testing strategies. Work-life balance is generally manageable, and job stability is one of TCS’s strongest advantages. It’s a great place for someone starting or strengthening their career in QA and automation.

Cons

Growth and promotions can be slow, and compensation does not always match the level of responsibility, especially for experienced engineers. The organization is highly process-driven, which can limit innovation and speed. Decision-making often goes through multiple layers, and internal bureaucracy can make even simple changes feel complex. Opportunities to work with modern tools and technologies exist, but depend heavily on the project and client. Overall, it can feel difficult to advance quickly without switching teams or roles.
