Pros

The company has a good cause by supporting children in need globally.

Cons

The company might be aiming at saving the children across the world. It does not treat its own employee well. As a matter of fact, it creates a toxic environment. I was hired as a senior researcher. I told the HR during interview that I am having a vacation plan coming up. HR said that is perfectly fine. However, the boss is super mad when I told her that I am going to be away one month after being hired. She immediately sets up a meeting with me and HR. During the meeting, HR denies she is OK with the vacation at first. When showing her the email on what she said, she immediately said that is not intentional and I could not use that as a excuse to go against her. The boss and the HR person are exercising manipulative and abusing languages which forces me to quit the job. I admit it is my naive reaction by agreeing to quit without any benefit. I cannot even claim unemployment benefit since I quit on my own. The HR did not bother to explain this to me. To any potential job seekers, please be aware of the toxic environment here and be ready to protect yourself when in difficult situation.
