Pros

Really wonderful job, I enjoy helping the students with their financial questions and I love my team.

Cons

I do not make nearly enough money as someone with the experience and work that I do.

Pros

for the most part, some of the most caring, kind, quirky co workers/ boss' I've had were here. You get a true feel of SF working here lots of characters and memories. Easy work if you like being around people.

Cons

theres a dash of office politics but all in all nothing crazy that I experienced

Pros

Transit close by to the greater parts of the city Near the sea and well stocked shopping center with in 10 minute walk Slowly improving its image with better marketing Establishing a better undergraduate residential experience becoming a more traditional institution

Cons

Pay is one of the lowest in the CSU system in one of the most expensive cities As a CSU, struggling financially to retain and recruit talented staff As the city has become whiter and more expensive, the school is very white in leadership. The handful of POC are tokenized as the first and only Retention for POC staff is really is the staff need to be in the city. The work isn’t as relevant and it shows. Not passionate about the work anymore Instead of pushing people out, they let them rot until people leave or other staff leave out of frustration for the lack of accountability and improvement from senior leaders Among POC there’s not much diversity. Once there was a littler more but those staff left due to lack of common experiences and treated a check box for diversity. Many have left due to erratic or toxic supervisors that wear them down enough to find another job with better pay or outside education all together.
