Pros

The mission is real, not a tagline, and most people genuinely care about the spiritual and practical impact of the work. When leadership is healthy and aligned, it’s an exceptional environment with strong values, high trust, and meaningful responsibility. There’s real investment in systems, learning, and innovation, and if you’re proactive and strategic, you can shape change rather than just execute tasks. Collaboration across teams and campuses can be a real strength when priorities are clear.

Cons

Strategy can shift faster than systems or people can adapt, and clarity doesn’t always keep pace with vision. Roles and ownership can feel fuzzy at times, and the way change is managed doesn’t always live up to the clarity and excellence of the vision itself. This isn’t a place for people who need predictability or low ambiguity. But if you want meaningful work, are comfortable navigating change, and can lead with maturity, humility, and resilience, you’ll grow fast and make an impact that actually matters.

Pros

The mission! - Everyone is working toward the same mission. The life change! - Your life will be changed as well as thousands of others. The development - You cannot work here and not be changed. So many opportunities to grow and develop. The people - The people you work alongside become family. The leadership - Being led and taught by world-class leaders.

Cons

It is a dynamic, fast-paced, high-performing environment with a culture of strong feedback, strong accountability, and elevated expectations that can be overwhelming at times. You have to be open to it and embrace it, or it will be difficult to stay here long term.

Pros

good people, good mission. Work feels important and relationships matter. i love the reminder of this at operational staff meetings and the comradorie with friends and my team is great when we get to be together from around the country.

Cons

pay could be way better. It feels like they are out of touch with reality here. People are fighting to buy groceries and you can't have a job start in the 30s. That's literally far BELOW poverty level. its not just low, it's insulting. People can't afford rent. The org feels too big for how simple some things could be. lots of change and not always clear why. Some leaders explain it better than others, but there seems to be tons of layers of leadership. If they flattened things a bit and payed people more (and empowered them) it would improve a lot. The Bible itself is clear that a laborer deserves his wages in exchange for his hard earned work. This isnt about pay as much as it is fairness and doing what is right and fair to good humans.
