Pros

Fantastic coworkers, nice office, decent PTO plan when you can afford to take time off

Cons

Unrealistic expectations to hit KPIs that don’t update as our workload continues to increase with our scope of support. The position has become significantly more technical and challenging despite no compensation increase, and management has explicitly stated there are no plans for this as we continue to support more products. The support department had rather measure and base your performance on how quick you are to press a button rather than your ability to help customers or resolve issues. Don’t expect to be trained adequately on any of our products before being thrown into the frying pan. That isn’t even touching the company-wide issues that have appeared after our CEO change and PE acquisition.

Pros

Working at KnowBe4 has honestly been one of the best professional experiences I’ve ever had. From day one, the leadership has stood out as supportive, approachable, and committed to creating a positive environment where employees can thrive. It’s rare to find a company where leadership not only talks about culture but actively invests in making it a reality. The work itself is engaging and genuinely fun. I actually look forward to coming into the office, which is something I never thought I’d say after coming from a previously toxic workplace. Here, when they say “have fun doing your job,” they truly mean it and they back it up with a culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and balance. One of the things I appreciate most is the opportunity for growth. There are so many ways to learn, develop new skills, and explore different paths within the company. It really feels like a place where you can build a long-term career rather than just hold a job. Most importantly, I feel proud of the work I do and grateful to be part of such a supportive, driven team. The people here make a huge difference, and it feels like everyone wants to see each other succeed.

Pros

Good coworkers. Work-life balance is essential, even outright encouraged by management. Lively culture. Unlimited PTO. And I mean actually unlimited; as long as you get your work done on-time, they don’t care how much PTO you take, within reason. Truly, it’s the best PTO policy I’ve ever had at a company.

Cons

No more CoLA. No more monthly bonuses. Not a salesperson, but I do know the compensation has been significantly reduced. Just last year, FIVE enterprise sales reps staged a walkout and never came back. Raises are also paltry compared to what they used to be. Base pay is significantly below market average, and the company can no longer use their now-gutted bonus system as an excuse anymore. Pay your employees what they deserve. It’s inexcusable. Clearwater office is being neglected. Don’t be surprised if they sell the building and move the HQ to elsewhere in the Tampa Bay Area. Not a huge deal by itself, but I know it would end up being a big inconvenience to some people.
