Pros

WFH most of the time. Retirement benefits are good as well.

Cons

Monthly bonus and commissions have been lowered tremendously for 2023 (making 15-20% less compared to last year but being asked to produce more). They only have carriers for preferred clients, but have the highest quota in the industry. So unless you have mortgage lenders supplying you with endless leads, you better be grinding the phones because this is the toughest and least rewarding agency out there. Turnover is insanely high at the moment, people i thought I’d never see quit or tell me they’re looking elsewhere are coming out. It’s very political in the sense where they say everything is fine (or better than last year) and use manipulated or false sensing data to back their words. Stress is at an all time high and not healthy. I want to stick around as liberty was a good company to work for and was hoping comparion would follow suit, but sadly not even close. If you’re a potential hire, do not apply or accept an offer here until things get better and they start looking out for us

Pros

I’ve been with Comparion Insurance Agency and Liberty Mutual for 16 years, and I can genuinely say this company has been an incredible place to grow both personally and professionally. From day one, it’s been clear that employees are valued, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed. One of the things that stands out most is how seriously our agency takes compensation. Leadership consistently reviews pay structures to ensure fairness and transparency, which is something I deeply appreciate. On top of that, our recognition programs are some of the best I’ve seen—people’s hard work is noticed and celebrated often. Work‑life balance is also a major strength here. The flexibility offered has allowed me to manage my career and personal life without feeling stretched too thin. The benefits are fantastic, and there are countless development opportunities available for anyone looking to advance their skill set or explore new paths within the organization. After 16 years, I still feel grateful to work for a company that genuinely cares about my well‑being. I’ve been able to learn, grow, and evolve as a professional in ways I never imagined, and that’s entirely because of the supportive, employee‑focused culture at Comparion and Liberty Mutual. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place where they can build a long and fulfilling career.

Cons

Still in Its Early Stages as an Agency: Because the agency is still in its infancy, there are inevitable learning curves and some evolving processes. While this can feel challenging at times, it also creates an exciting environment where employees can influence positive change and help shape the agency’s long‑term identity. Frequent Changes and Adjustments: With growth comes change, new workflows, updated tools, and shifting strategies. This can require some flexibility, but it also means there’s constant innovation and the chance to contribute ideas that directly improve our operations. Establishing More Structure as We Grow: As we’re still building out our systems and best practices, certain areas may feel like they’re still taking shape. The encouraging part is leadership is very intentional about developing structure without losing sight of employee experience and support. Balancing Rapid Growth With Stability: The pace of expansion sometimes means we’re iterating as we go, but the organization consistently prioritizes ensuring these changes don’t compromise how we care for employees. It’s a unique opportunity to be part of building something sustainable from the ground up.
