I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Connor Group
Interview
I went through an extensive interview process that included six separate calls over the course of a month, followed by a full working day onsite. Throughout the entire process, I was consistently told the company was actively filling General Manager roles for two locations.
However, when I arrived onsite, I was placed into training sessions for those same roles—which had apparently already been filled. When I asked for clarification about the purpose of my visit, I received vague and inconsistent answers, which made the experience feel disorganized and misleading.
Despite this, I stayed fully engaged and treated the day like a working interview. I stepped in to help resolve multiple situations and even went as far as scrubbing bathrooms for a new tenant move-in because the condition was otherwise unacceptable. I wanted to demonstrate ownership and leadership at every level.
I was ultimately passed on the next business day. What was most disappointing, though, was the complete lack of follow-up. After investing significant time and energy into the process, I reached out for feedback and never received a response.
It’s frustrating to commit that level of effort only to be left without closure or basic professional courtesy—especially from an organization that emphasizes being “people first.”
They could improve transparency about hiring needs and timelines, and ensure candidates are treated with respect throughout the process—including providing feedback after such a significant time investment. They should be clear that they are looking for candidates who are highly flexible and open to relocating on short or no notice.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Connor Group (Scottsdale, AZ) in Mar 2026
Interview
Was reached out to by a recruiter. I had a lot of questions for him all of which he answered with knowledge. He asked basic questions and also asked what I like to do in my free time. He did not seem to care about any answers or ask any follow up questions on my answers but did set up a second interview

This was an odd thing to ask:

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Connor Group in Apr 2025
Interview
I was reached out to buy a recruiter. First was a phone call personality test. The second interview was with HR. I did not get past the second one. I thought everything was going well. She said I was doing a good job and had good feedback. Then all of a sudden nothing and I was ghosted by the recruiter. The job sounds great and I was qualified for it. I asked what made me not get through the second interview and if reapplying in the future with something they allowed. she chose to completely ignore me. It was very strange.
