HR did not reach out until ~3 months after I applied. I got an email from the recruiter based in UK, though I did not go through the initial round with HR. I went straight into 2 rounds with hiring manager and VP

Application and setup interview process was fast. I thought it was odd the HR wanted to setup a video call, when most will reach out via phone for an initial 15 mins primarily call. Nevertheless, I promptly signed into our video call a few minutes early, after about 7 mins over the person interviewing me still was not signed in. As soon as I sent a follow up emailed, he logged with NO apologies of being late and jumped right in. They then proceeded to start the interview and continuously typed as I answered questions - which is fine, some people are taking notes etc. but they usually tell you “please excuse the typing, I’m taking notes”. I had to watch them type as I answered his questions, with him looking down on the key pad, I could tell the person interviewing me was distracted and not engaging or listening to my answers. In the end the salary was extremely low, and tried to justify the position that it’s a marketing associate. I’ve never experience a marketing associate with that salary in NYC, they should have position the role as a coordinator instead. Being the only marketing representative in the US for the brand, the salary does not make sense for the requirements they are looking for.
