Initial short list selection--invitation to interview. Flown to location for one day of written testing and a second day of panel interview. We were a small group of seven finalists, one of whom had served in the role temporarily in the past.The testing was rigorous--they gave us essentially too much work to do in three hours, which of course was part of the test. We had to prepare a PP presentation, read and summarize a journal article, electronically format a Word document, and heavily edit a badly prepared, complex report using track changes. Presumably passed the test and was invited for the second day's panel interview. Began by briefing the panel with slides prepared the day before during the written test. The panel then asked questions in sequence.
