Interview
I did the first 2 rounds through phone call with the VP and associate. Then got invited to an in person interview with 3 team members (Analyst, VP, Associate). Nearly all were behavioral questions.
Absolutely disengaged interviewer! more interested in his/her phone than me - utterly unprofessional. Him/her was huffing and puffing during the interview, it was like he was was dragged out of bed against his own will!
The interview for equity research consists of a behavioral and technical portion. Expect a "Why Jefferies" question along with basic technicals. They want to see your passion and why you are interested in working at the firm.
