      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Cintas (Hammond, IN) in Jan 2025

      Interview

Sorry if this is long - but I’m a detailed person and this interaction with them spans almost 10 months. The sales manager of the Hammond location originally reached out to me in May 2024 via LinkedIn; I agreed to chat on the phone and then set up an initial interview with their regional sales recruiter Jessica Jennings who no called no showed me on the interview. Fast forward to January 2025, the same sales manager, Justin, reached out to me on LinkedIn apologizing for what happened and mentioned they have someone new in that position and would like a chance to discuss the role again. I spoke to him on the phone and was then forwarded to Payton, now in Jessica’s role, to begin the process. Everything went relatively well - speaking with Payton and then Justin then their Sales Director Eric. The part where the process became frustrating was the ride along/field day. They contacted me last minute that week for schedule it and I was only available Thursday or Friday at that point. They normally do it on M, W but said Thursday was no issue after I offered the following Monday after the weekend . The day after, Friday, I was scheduled to have an interview with the Sales VP of the region Nickolas. After every part of the process, Justin mentioned how great this was all going and that Eric and Nickolas liked me, the interviews went well , etc etc. Justin called me a week later saying that I need to meet with the GM of the location and that this was basically a formality. He said I should have met with him during the field day but that he had a last minute conflict and that was the ONLY thing holding up an offer letter. This was in February 19. I have Justin my availability and he stated he would send a calendar invite that afternoon. On Friday February 21 I still had 0 information for the following week’s interview so I called Justin to follow up as I was trying to figure out my own schedule that week. He sent it later that day for Tuesday February 25. He repeatedly stated that it was just standard and the GM wasn’t a stop in the interview process and the sales and ops are independent, etc etc. Today February 28, I received a rejected email. Which isn’t the end of the world as I had stated during the interview process I was in the middle of interviewing with a few other companies ( Payton stated they really wanted to get the process going because of that). Cintas was mid to low priority compared with everyone else with antiqued dress and personal appearance guidelines, 12 PTO day policy, and low base salary (it was closest to home which is why I entertained it). This is more so being written for the lack of respect for an interviewee and their personal time. From the day one interaction in May, to the last minute week of scheduling, to having me drive back out to the location to meet with a person I know was a factor in the rejection since I was not cut off until that point, and to circle back to the fact that Cintas reached out to me twice, I never directly applied to them on my own accord. It was a massive waste of time when being told “they had a great interview with you, we should have an offer letter ready” etc.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cintas (Tampa, FL) in Aug 2025

      Interview

The lower level managers are so so kind, however the higher you go in the interview process, you may come across a few managers who are incredibly condescending and the interview somewhat feels like a bullying session. I thought it was rich, considering the amount of turnover in this company and how many people hate working there. they should not be scaring away applicants by behaving this way in an interview. I understand there is a need to feel like you are earning the job and the position is in demand. however, this is a whole other level.
