Daniel Zhao is Chief Economist at Glassdoor. On Glassdoor's Economic Research team, he has conducted research using Glassdoor's unique data on a variety of topics affecting job seekers and employers ranging from the health of the job market to pay transparency to employee engagement & retention. His work has been cited in publications like the New York Times, the Harvard Business Review and more.
Prior to joining the Economic Research team, he also worked on improving the user experience for Glassdoor’s consumer jobs product and mobile app. He holds a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and economics from Harvard College.
Chris Martin is a lead researcher on Glassdoor's Economic Research team focused on workplace equity and compensation, with expertise in identity-based exclusion and salary transparency. Previously, Chris was a researcher at Syndio and PayScale, and a senior manager of analytics on the inclusion and diversity team at Starbucks. His research, featured in The Financial Times, Politico, Harvard Business Review, and more, helps inform workplace policies and practice. He holds a Master's in Economics from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Utah State University.
Katherine is a data scientist on Glassdoor’s Economic Research team. Her expertise lies in telling clear, approachable, data-driven stories. Previously, Katherine worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she analyzed large geospatial flood zone datasets. She has a master’s degree in computer science from The Georgia Institute of Technology and a master's in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College.
