Pros

Major player in aerospace seating

Cons

Technically deficient, with a management team unqualified and inexperienced with modern technology, modern business culture, and They don't respect the white collar workforce and they have no idea how to attract, treat and retain talented professionals. Word is out about this employer, and they cannot hire themselves out of the mess due to a bad executive management team. The building is dirty, located an hour outside of Dallas, and they constantly bring engineers in from Mexico to work for their project engineers, however, they don't bother to put them on the payroll for Gainesville, rather they pay them low Mexican wages and call it "training" which puts everyone at risk, the managers and the people from Mexico. For new hires that come in, you will be lucky to have a decent desk and computer, as that is an afterthought and they don't care if you have a decent desk. If you complain, you'll be fired. Constantly pressed to work overtime, put out substandard designs because there is no time to design it right, and no sign this will change anytime soon. Having Zodiac on your resume is not an asset as the industry knows they are a mess.

Pros

-Decent pay considering Bellingham's cost of living, though raises are hard to come by -Facility in nice location in Barkley neighborhood -Zodiac has a good neighbor plan which offers loans to employees in need -Holiday raffles and parties to try to keep employees engaged -Experience with lean manufacturing

Cons

-Management treats employees with very little regard or respect -Taking time off or vacation is frowned upon. I found it very difficult to get time off to go home for the holidays. -A lot of cliques and high-school-like behavior. People are often shunned and bullied by their peers and supervisors if they make honest mistakes. -One particular supervisor on the floor is downright nasty and impossible to work with since she is constantly threatening her employees with disciplinary action and is unprofessional in handling conflict. She has been talked to by HR several times and refuses to change how she treats people. She has thrown tantrums in the middle of the floor when people go to HR about her. -HR takes sides of supervisors and higher-ups instead of hearing out all parties. -You are only allowed one 30 minute lunch break for a ten hour shift and two 15 minute breaks. No more or no less. If you go anywhere outside that limit, you can expect to be written up. -If you accidentally clock in a few minutes late, you can expect a disciplinary talk. Even if it was an honest mistake or the clock was ahead. -Not an LGBT friendly workplace. Sexual harassment towards women is also an everyday thing. -Almost all employees I worked with openly acknowledged how terrible the company was to them, which creates unanimous low morale. Overall, management and higher-ups do not care about their employees being satisfied or happy with their jobs. They use fear tactics and threaten disciplinary action in order to make sure that you adhere to their extremely strict rules.

Pros

You get paid, but this isn't much of a pro cause it's below industry average.

Cons

Awful management. The company has seen 3 CEOs in the past 2 years, each of them getting worse. They each instilled a terrible working environment. I never thought I'd see so many grown men running around screaming at each other. Pay is entry level like you just graduated college. If you're a new graduate or are unemployed, then sure, take the job, but please continue your job search. If you're a good person, this company doesn't deserve you. Currently, every program this company has is failing. The project schedules are completely unrealistic and our customers are furious. Every engineer could see this coming from miles away, and despite our begging for help, management never provided us with any additional personnel. Now that we are in a huge mess, the company is scrambling and there is still no plan to recover. The company has a huge retention problem. No one wants to stay at this company because of the pay and lack of stability. If anyone tries to tell you the company is "growing" cause of the amount of people hired, it's because they have to replace the hordes that leave. The tools given to you to do your job are awful.
