Good If You Like to Work for Free

Pros

-you get to read this review and know that no matter how early or late you are to the writing game, you're worth more than this gig :)

Cons

-unethical to contact people living in North America when you know the breakdown is less than minimum wage in NA states and provinces -unethical to gaslight workers saying YOUR low pay is due to their slow work ethic. Writing does take time. It's a skill, just like your management or HR job. Take responsibility where you need to please. -claims that you make more after time are unethical. If you get any min wage job, do they tell you to start at a couple dollars per hour and hopefully, make your way up to min wage. No. Why? Because it's illegal. Also consider that min wage jobs (where you make more than here) require significantly less skill.

I am sorry that you were unable to make this work viable for you, but really appreciate your feedback as it helps us to continually review our rates. We do have a large number of writers on our books, including in North America, who are able to make a success of this work and it’s a real shame it didn’t work out for you. But as you say, writing is a talent and resume writing, in particular, is very specialist so can take time to get the hang of. We do wish you every success.

Not Financially Profitable

Pros

Work from home. Get as much work as you can manage. Set your own pace.

Cons

Very difficult to make enough to justify your time. I have been working in training mode, and basically the "training" is them showing you an example and then pointing out what you do wrong while you attempt to work with a client. There is not much creative thinking aside from attempting to rephrase prior experience. It has taken almost a week with every client working a few hours a day, meaning you are paid around 13 pounds for almost 6 hours of work. Perhaps I am just really bad at it, but I have been writing for over ten years and have never felt so discouraged at a job.

Pros

This is a second job for me that is flexible, affords extra income and can be done from home. The team is so helpful and they are all such a joy to connect with.

Cons

I don’t have any. It’s been a greasy experience thus far.
